Just Dreamin' Sporthorses is dedicated to producing sane, athletic, and easily trained sporthorses for the amateur owner/rider. Started by an amateur rider four years ago and based on her own competition horse (Alternative Medicine), the goal was to produce horses that she would want to ride and train herself.
Well, breeding /foaling season has started and has been a little hectic to tell the truth. Shaman has been a very busy boy and he's quite pleased about that. Empire has been introduced to his new breeding career and thinks he'll keep the job.
Shaman and Suzanne just returned from working security at the Talladega Races with the Etowah County Mounted Unit. They got to do lots of crowd control and Suzanne says she was very glad for Shaman's good nature as well as his size. Now they are getting ready for their clinic with Olympic Bronze Medalist, Lisa Wilcox. We are very proud of Shaman and Suzanne for being invited to this clinic. Saga, Shaman's mom, gave birth to her foal by Zippo's Southern Moon on April 1st. A chestnut colt named Alternative's April Fool AKA "Oh No". She's being bred to elite Hanoverian stallion Prince Optimus for a 2008 foal. |
