Alternative's Saga is one of only two mares sired by Alternative Medicine.  Bred to be a competitive jumper --  Saga's great heart, athleticism, and willingness to please would have made her an excellent show mare.  Unfortunately, Saga was injured as a four-year-old during her initial under-saddle training.  The recovery from a lacerated superficial flexor tendon was difficult.  In 2002, Saga was purchased by JDS for the purpose of producing sporthorses in her sire's image.  With the birth of Shaman and Flirtation, she has proven that she is more than up to this task.  Although Saga is fully recovered from her injury, we feel that she is most valuable as a broodmare.  Left open in 2004 & 2005, Saga has been bred for a 2007 QH cross foal.  We expect this cross to produce an excellent combined training horse.   April 1, 2007 -- Alternative's April Fool "Ohno" was born.
