Bourbon Indulgence "Liza Jane" was purchased as an 18 month old filly.  This mare was a beginner lesson horse for Suzanne as a 4 year old.  She is one of the most honest horses we have ever met.  Once taught something, Liza remembered it forever.  As a project horse for one of Suzanne's students, this mare attended two shows -- scoring in the 50-60s at both Intro & Training level.  During a clinic with Barney Mullady, he approached us about selling this mare to one of his Ohio clients (a 75 yr old Master of the Hunt).  Barney explained that he needed a very quiet, rock solid mare who would take care of her rider.  After one ride, Liza was sold.  In his words:  "point her at a jump and she goes over it", even when he was purposely off balance or "flopping all over the place".  Several months after Liza left for Ohio, Barney came back for a clinic with the following update.  "She's doing great.  Every time she goes out to a hunt, I get phone calls asking if I can get more like her.  Her 75yr old owner/rider is jumping 4ft for the first time in his life.  She's just so solid and honest.  The only complaint I have is that:  after riding her, these junior riders suddenly think they are much better riders than they actually are."
