Make A Striking Star "Maika" was born at HHR.  She was purchased by Eric Terrell after being bred to Alternative's Shaman. Her first foal, Shaman's Genesis, is with her in the picture above.  Maika has been rebred for a 2007 Shaman foal.  Maika is the horse Eric rides in the Dekalb County Sheriff's Mounted Unit.  Even though she has been under saddle less than 2 years, Maika is often used as a role model for the other horses in the unit.  She is Eric's preferred mount for pleasure riding as well.  She's a very sensible and sweet mare.
